In Tokyo my family said the earthquake was strong enough to shave dust from the ceiling. If you consider that every building on that island is built to with stand frequent earthquakes- well it's strong even if it's just dust. All the trains are down- many mono rails are flooded or are being check for damage. To give you an idea of how big a deal this is... 766,000 people pass through the station of Shinjuku on a week day. via People are stranded in their offices since elevators aren't working, 70,000 people had to spend the night at Disneyland and DisneySea last night-- That's nothing compared to the nuclear plant threatening the northern coast of Honshu since the they are unable to cool it down, tons of fires, oil spills, drownings, lost ships, etc. And life goes on- my uncle will bike to work tomorrow, people with cars will give rides to friends to go back to school on Monday.
